Admission Process

The Health Careers Academy is designed for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. Students who are interested in being in the Health Academy are encouraged to take HE-103: Responding to Medical Emergencies in 9th Grade.

Students should complete the interest form during their Freshman year. The completed interest form should be submitted electronically through this website.

The Health Careers Academy strives to provide a variety of opportunities to prepare students for different types of health careers.

For example, taking a SBCC Medical Terminology class taught once a week before school, and if interested in the Certified Nursing Assistant Program, you will be required to attend classes and clinical rotations at 7:00 a.m. and some Saturday.
